4. Should you opt for a live band or a DJ?

This depends on a number of factors. A DJ is definitely more budget-friendly and is more versatile than a band in regards to the playlist. Furthermore, a DJ can usually perform with little to no breaks, while bands may only be able to perform for a maximum of four to five hours, including breaks. On the other hand, bands provide that specific atmosphere that only live music can offer. Depending on the budget, you can opt for different setups at different stages of the event.

5.Location & amenities

The musical setup you choose must fit the event’s location in terms of space as well as technical capabilities. If the venue doesn’t offer sound and lighting options, it may be easier to opt for something acoustic. On the other hand, a band may be a better fit than a solo jazz saxophonist in a fully-equipped and grand conference hall. Ensure that your venue can cater to your ideal music set-up, and check with your band or DJ that the acoustics, technical & staging equipment present at the venue will showcase their talent in the best possible manner.
